Thanks for the email mom I love hearing about life back home! To answer your question about Elder Felix, he is awesome and small world but he served in the Curitiba Brazil mission right after Doug left but he said he knew a lot of good things about him so it was pretty cool.
I'm super glad to hear everyone has gotten over Covid and a real blessing that grandma is doing good. Such a blessing to have Matt right there to help her out, the Lord really does bless all of us.... Nice job to Lando for winning the dunk contest! That's super awesome and I'm glad he had a good season and also I'm glad Rob won coach and Jarom won player!! Super good to hear it wasn't Sugar for once! I'm super happy for them and hopefully baseball goes good for everyone this season.
Wow I love Elder Christopher's quote about listening to Heaven Father and its something I need to work on is just sit there and have the Holy Ghost tell me what to do because as a missionary I'm always asking what I need to do but then I just start the day and don't listen so I'm gonna work on that for sure. Also about changing, it is hard and I love the talk called the 4th missionary and how he gives everything up to the Lord and changes and I've realized it's hard because it's gonna be hard to give up not watching March Madness😂 but I can't give everything up for 2 years because Jesus Christ gave everything to me! Thanks for the package and I think I'm doing good for now thanks mom! Love you.
MY WEEK
This week flew by, we only have one week left in this transfer and I'm getting a little nervous about maybe taking over this area but I remember feeling this way when Elder Angle left and when Elder Hamblin got there the Lord provided so many miracles so I am excited to see what happens but it would be so nice if Elder Williams stayed another one because he's pretty awesome!
We had a lesson with Norma again this week over at Brother Hawkins and it was super cool for her to make some friends! We just gotta keep moving a little at a time and hopefully she'll feel that desire we talk about all the time. We also met with Juan and he had some crazy ideas about our church so we're trying to explain that but this week we tried to get him to start to watch the Book of Mormon videos so we'll see how that goes. Also we met with Joe!! We just talked and set up some service and shared a quick little message. Then later that night we were with some members talking about Joe and they reached out to Joe's daughter in Utah and now we are trying to have her zoom in on a lesson with us but we just have to make sure it's good with Joe so I'm really excited that his family is now involved and the Lord provides so many miracles for us.
Spiritual thought: Revelations I was reading about the last days and right now our President told us to have an urgency to gather God's children! It hypes me up and our whole mission has come together and we're doing really good right now so I am thinking we got this and it was so cool to see this urgency from everyone, but then in Revelations 12:10 is says Satan and his followers will attack God's people night and day, so Satan isn't gonna take a break and I thought if our leader is telling us to have an urgency what do you think Satan is telling his crew.... It just reminded me that God is in control of all things and has provided everything for us to avoid Satan but we need to be moving forward just like you said in your letter mom. Can't be standing still but always moving forward on the iron rod and one day we will be free! I love you all and hope you have a good week! Also enjoy some March Madness! #bestholidayever!
