Hey everyone!! This week was pretty good and went by so fast I can't believe it's Pday already.
Respond: That is so good to hear about the boys and girls both beat south but I hope they can get it all together and whip Sugar in the end. Also that is so cool that you all got to go to the Utah St game and support Justin! So so fun. I'll be praying for grandma Hart for sure but I know she will be ok.
I love that quote from Uchtdorf. He is so true because the Atonement is powerful and I know when we repent Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ forget completely.
My Week: This week was really good. We had some really good lessons with the people we are teaching and the branch is working really good too!
Tuesday was a really good day because we went with Presidente Juan to a colony called the Victoria and it is about 2 hours in a car but we went and visited some members there so it was good. I got to share a message about taking the Sacrament and they were really appreciative. Then we spent the rest of the day visiting.
Wednesday was also pretty good. We met with the Cerritos and had a good lesson about the Restoration and they had some questions and are still receiving anti stuff but we explained a lot of things and they felt better. Then in the evening we met with Vanessa whose baptism is this Saturday so be praying for her but she is so awesome and has really high faith!
Friday was a good day but also pretty tough. We started off great with visiting a lot of people and even had a really good lesson with our friend Yuri Sanchez who has met with missionaries in the past but we taught about the plan of Salvation and it was super good and the spirit was really strong! But then we went with Hermano Mario and President Florencio to the Cerritos and turns out one of the sisters got scared because some people showed her stuff about the church so she went to Guatemala but it was such a blessing to have members there because they shared such powerful testimonies!
Saturday was a really cold miserable day but we still had a good time visiting and trying to share the gospel and found a lot of people home. Sunday was a pretty good day too at church and meetings but in the evening we took most of the Cerritos family and went to the church and had a zoom meeting with Presidente Valencia. It was so awesome. We watched this video about how families can be together forever and the spirit was so strong and they said they still want to be baptized February 19th but please keep them in your prayers.
I know this is getting long but I wanted to share a quote that my Uncle Matt shared with me from President Hinkley. He says, "In this work there must be commitment. There must be devotion. We are engaged in a great eternal struggle that concerns the very souls of the sons and daughters of God. We are not losing. We are winning. We will continue to win if we will be faithful and true. We can do it. We must do it. We will do it. There is nothing the Lord has asked of us that in faith we cannot accomplish."
I love this quote so much. Especially the part that says we will continue to win if we are faithful. What a blessing to know we are on the winning team! Also I know the Lord never will give us something to do that we can't accomplish, we only have to have the faith to do so.
I love you all and hope you have a good week!
Love Elder Reiley
