Hey! Thanks so much for the email and updates on everything! Im glad it was a good week and also mom could give your talk! It was a great week and Vanessa got baptized!
Reply: Well to answer your questions. President Juan is the new President of the branch who was the Elder Quorums president and things are going good with him. Also thanks for your prayers and fasting for the Cerritos and we have seen the blessings and the Lords hand with their progression.
That is good that grandma is getting better but I'll definitely being praying for her! But it is so nice she has so much help from family and friends also! That is so cool the girls are going to state! I hope you get to go for kinleys last year but that is so awesome! Also I hope the boys can whip Sugar in districts but keep me updated on that. Also that is so cool about Jordon and Jacqueline! Please send those pictures that would be awesome! Also about Tanner is super exciting as well. But i will keep everyone in my prayers that we can all be happy and enjoy the blessings of the gospel!
Thanks for your spiritual thought and i love 3rd Nephi 11 too how powerful it is to imagine Christ coming down and fulfilling the promise of all the prophets before Him. Also thank you so much for your talk, it was so cool to read how the Doctrine of Christ helps us and applies in our lives.
My Week: Like I said before we had a good week with lots of miracles! On Tuesday we spent the whole day in a town called Zapata and we had our Zone Conference, it was so good and i loved all the trainings and also the words of President Whitworth.
Then Wednesday got up and went back to Benemerito and left right away to the Cerritos and had a good lesson and then went and had tacos and then went to Vanessa's and had a good lesson with her and she has so much faith and is such a good example to me of wanting to change her life!
This week was pretty slow in finding just because we spent a lot of time with Vanessa and making sure she was ready to go but we did find this cool family who are Catholics but we'll see how it goes. Elder Cabañas and i are doing good working with less actives and we found a family who had a daughter who is 9 so that was a huge miracle.
Then Friday came for the interview for Vanessa and guess what?! No INTERNET IN ALL OF BENEMERITO. It was stressful trying to figure out what to do and not even a regular phone call worked. So we went to a members house who lived close and had enough service to do a phone call and she passed!
Saturday was the baptism of Vanessa and it was amazing. It started at 5 (but we all know how that goes) so everyone showed up at 5:30 but there were so many members and support it was so cool. Then just seeing Vanessa be so happy and have joy was worth all the trials and problems. Just to think a month ago her life had no hope and now in 1 year she can go to the temple and be sealed with her kids. This gospel of Jesus Christ really does change lives.
I love you all and I have really tried to focus on true happiness these last couple of weeks and i realized the quote from our Prophet is the key, that the focus of our lives is what will bring us true happiness. I love serving a mission and being part of the best work in the world.
Love you all! Have a good week!
Love Elder Reiley
