Nov. 8-14, 2020

 Hello everyone!!

This is the last week of the MTC so you probably won't hear from me for a couple of weeks because next week at this time I'll be in Kennewick Washington! I received my flight plans last Wednesday and I fly out of the Idaho Falls airport at 6:50am so we have to be there at 5:30am. I'm pretty sure they do this because maybe they want me to feel famous and act like I actually own the entire Idaho Falls Airport, maybe. But then I get to the Salt Lake Airport around 8am and then fly from there around 8:30 to the airport in Washington so it will be an exciting day and it will only be 10 in the morning. I'm super excited to go but just like everything else new and out of my comfort zone I get a little nervous but trust that my Heavenly Father will help me and also give me peace in my life. I had a zoom meeting with President and Sister Rasmussen (they are in charge of Kennewick Washington mission). They are both really awesome! President Rasmussen is from Burley Idaho and he played a lot of sports in his life so we have a lot in common and I'm super excited to get to know him more!

This week of MTC was really fun because we're to the point where we teach a lesson almost everyday so all the missionaries have the opportunity to use our Spanish the best we can but most importantly we have the opportunity to teach with the Spirit and also have the opportunity to feel the spirit in our own homes so that really is a blessing. This week we watched a Devotional (and we watch one every Tuesday night so that's why I write about one every week because it is still fresh in my brain.) I liked a lot of things in this devotional but the best thing for me is when Brother Pace said that if we have any questions about the gospel, think back to when you first prayed and asked if it was true and think how you felt then.... has something changed? Probably not, if you got the answer that the church is true then it's not going to change. I thought back to when I was deciding whether to go on a mission or not and just thinking of the feeling I had when Jeffery R. Holland spoke this April and that feeling of peace and joy and knowing that this gospel is true, and that through our Savior Jesus Christ we can feel peace and happiness and it made me so happy to think about.

Last week's P-day was so fun! First my Grandpa Reiley came and got me and I got to go help him with his cows and give them shots, but I got to run the shoot(the machine that catches them) and not gonna lie I was doing pretty good:) But then after that I went to the High School and helped my dad out with the wrestling tournament which was cool and then I got to go play basketball at an open gym with all the boys and I realized that sitting down looking at a computer doesn't keep you in shape very good, but it was still so fun. Then in the evening I had a great opportunity to go with the missionaries and teach one of my best friends, he is so awesome! The lesson was so good and I felt that the Holy Ghost was so strong and that gets me super excited to be able to be able to do that with the people of Washington and be able to love them and want what's best for them.

One last thing I wanted to share a quote by one of the missionaries in my district and she was talking about the Grace of God and she said, "Grace doesn't get us out of our trials, grace helps us through them." Love you all!

Love Elder Reiley

Sorry this one was really long!
