Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good week with the snow! This week was super hot like 90 everyday but it was so awesome! Our friend Lily was baptized so it was a really filled week.
Reply: Thanks for the updates on everyone and I'm glad you all were safe during the bad weather. Also so cook to hear Justin is tearing it up! Can you guys watch those games? Dang but the school year is winding down and super weird to think that Prom already happened, I remember those days of the ACT and prom.... whoo a lot going on but that is super good to hear! Really appreciate your thoughts on Easter mom, I never really thought of how Christ had joy even during his Atonement. The joy of knowing he was doing Heavenly Father's will. Thanks and also congrats for finishing the Book of Mormon! I love Moroni at the end and his hope and just obedience to do what God wants. Thanks for sharing!
One takeaway from Moroni 10 when I Studied was how clear Moroni is in his words. He first he gives a clear path to know it's true- pray! Then he says how you'll receive an answer- Holy Ghost. The he talks about faith and I love verse 33, the whole message of the Book of Mormon. Christ lives, through His Atonement we can become clean and one day live with Heavenly Father again. There is no doubt this Book is so true I always think of the stories and how it was passed down from prophet to prophet and I think "how can it not be true?"
My Week: Well it was an exciting week that's for sure. Like I said Lily got to baptized and it was so cool. She is 77 and just got out of the hospital on Tuesday so we went and visited her and she said I want to get baptized before anything else happens so it was pretty fast but she is really elect!
Wednesday and Thursday were full of trying to find new people and we found a new family the Santiagos so it is exciting but we were visiting Lily and getting her ready. Her daughters are all members and her husband is not but they were all really supportive so it helped us a lot!
Friday was a really special day because I had exchanged with Elder Landrum!! It was so cool because we got here together and we have that connection with the Beans so it was fun. He is an amazing missionary and I learned so much. We had really good lesson at the end of the day with a couple and we shared our testimonies and they were blown away a couple of young gringos could serve missions but just shows you this is the Lord's work.
Saturday was the big day! We took care of some stuff in the morning and I got to watch Yamileth and Felix get baptized over Zoom and I'm grateful for them!! It made me so happy. Then at 7 we had everyone show up and had a great service! Lily was just so happy and had a big smile on her face when she came up from the water! Nothing to help remind me of how much Joy a missionary can have!
On Sunday we had church and 10 of our friends we are teaching came! So we are loving what we're seeing but it's all thanks to Heavenly Father. Alma 7:23, always give thanks to Heavenly Father because he provides the miracles!
I love you all and am loving life here in Mexico! Have a good week.
Love Elder Reiley
