Hey everyone! Holy cow another week has come and gone which is super wild to think but it was pretty good.
Reply: Thanks for the update on everything and I am excited to hear how it went in girls camp and everything. I bet it was hot but really fun! Also sounds pretty crazy with Sunday how you were running around everywhere from Driggs to Tetonia to Victor but that sounds really good and I am glad to hear you were able to have so much happen and be busy but it sounds like your calling is keeping you on your toes I am excited to talk to you today and hear more about it.
My Week: This week was good. It was wild because we had Zone Conference on Thursday and it was the first one for President and Sister Chavez so us and the secretaries spent a lot of time getting everything ready like the food but it was all really smooth. Also we gave a training on having urgency in everything we do as missionaries because there is a lot to do but like my Uncle Matt told me, "We've had an eternity to prepare for our missions and we will have an eternity to remember it, but only 2 years to live it." So it was super spiritual and just the emotion and excitement we felt was really awesome! We have Zone Conference in Veracruz and I am hoping for the same outcome.
On Wednesday I was able to go on exchanges with Elder Despain from Arizona and it was super fun! We did calls on his phone to talk to people in his area and it was good! We also just talked and he is going to finish his mission this transfer so he gave me some good advice. Then in the night we went out to work in my area and we saw some cool miracles because everyone was rejecting us so we said a prayer and then that night we found 2 people so it was way awesome!
Thursday was zone conference and it was good to see everyone and it was a little crazy but turned out good. Then that night I went on exchanges with Elder Ruiz and it reminded me of our time in Mina so it was so fun. We taught a lesson with Viridiana and talked to a lot of people and it just made me so happy to be with him because he is also going home in August.
Friday was a super cool day because it was actually normal. We went to the office and worked and then headed to our area and found some new people and helped a member move. But after it was a CRAZY SMALL WORLD because we were on the street and this lady came up and talked to me in English and said she is from Rock Springs/Green river Wyoming and she has been to Driggs before so it was way cool. Her and her husband have been in Villahermosa for 2 years because of work but we gave them a card and she told us her best friend is a member so we are hoping to teach them. (We'll see if I still remember to give the lessons in English)
Saturday and Sunday were pretty good too. It is so hot and humid but I can't complain really. We have air condition, a nice house, and the people here are amazing. We talked with Isabel about baptism and she wants to be baptized July 30th and also another kid Angel so we are planning that but there are some obstacles in the way but just keep them in your prayers.
These last 3 weeks have been really good for me to learn more about the will of Heavenly Father and how much more important it is than our own. I like Alma 17:13, "trusting in the lord that they should meet again..... great was the work which they had undertaken." It wasn't their work but it was the Lord's and the faith and trust they had to do the Lord's will. I know I am learning and that the Lord still has a lot of lessons for me to learn while I'm here and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to represent my Savior and feel his presence as if he were standing next to me. I want to invite you all to think back to the last time you felt the presence of God and Jesus Christ and try to have that feeling always.
