Hola Todos!!
Thank you for the email mom! I love hearing about everyone's week and what's going on back home. Thank you so much for your thoughts on Moroni 9:6. I think that really does apply to my life here and not getting discouraged when bad things happen and just ducking my head and going to work always seems to make me feel better. I love Moroni and his example to me of giving up his life for the Lord. I will be watching for the Christmas package and thank you so much for that! Tell Grandma thank you as well and I will be praying for her everyday. That has to be hard for her but I know she is a tough lady and she'll be able to make it through.
I'm so glad that you got to go to the Temple with Cambrie and her family and friends! The temple is such a blessing in our lives and the Columbia River Temple is so awesome and hopefully it opens up here pretty soon so we have a chance to go but that is so cool you were able to go and feel the spirit in the house of the Lord.
Tell the basketball teams congrats on the wins and the boys look like they are playing good so hopefully they can keep that up! How is Kinley playing? Hopefully she is having fun because high school basketball is meant to be a good time so I really hope she is having fun! Tell her just to work hard and it will all pay off.
MY WEEK
This week went by so fast I don't even know where to start! I guess on Tuesday I went to this training for all the new missionaries in Kennewick called the "Doctrine of Christ" and it is training about how to use Facebook (which is a little different for me but oh well) and just talked about the 4th article of faith and it was a spiritual time for sure. The building we met in is right across the street from the temple so I'll send some pictures.
Then we had a lot of lessons with our investigators and with Roberto and Kristopher we have a baptism planned but pray for them that they can continue to be prepared to be baptized and I know that if it is the Lords will, it is going to happen. Then we had dinner with Michelle and Israel (the people we are teaching) and it was so awesome and that was the point where I felt like I actually loved these people and I wanted them to be baptized so they can be happy and feel the love of God and it was such an awesome experience I had!
The last thing I want to talk about happened in Doctrine of Christ and President Rasmussen showed us the video of President Gordon B. Hinkley saying, "forget yourself and go to work" this was so motivating for me and I made a promise with myself and Heavenly Father that when the hard days come, that I would stop thinking about the bad and just go to work and so far that has helped me a ton through this Christmas season and I love talking about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and he truly is our Savior and Redeemer and through his Atonement, we can be happy and have joy!
I love you all so much and I pray for you all everyday! I hope you find joy this Christmas season and think about what will you give Jesus Christ for Christmas this year? I hope you all have a good week!
Love Elder Reiley
