Hey Everybody guess what?! BROWNS MADE THE PLAYOFFS! (just thought I'd throw that in here)
Mom thank you for the email! I love hearing about everyone's week and activities that are going on at home. Will you or Austin send me the picture of the mounts on the wall? Thank you for your thoughts on prophets and it is so amazing and we are so blessed to be guided by a Servant of the Lord who recieves revelation for everybody in the whole church! Reading that was a reminder to me too that I need to pray for the prophet more! Love you all and thank you for your prayers and support. How is dad feeling about going back to school? That can't be easy at all but the sooner you jump into it the sooner you'll be at spring break. Do the boys and girls have games this week?
My week was very interesting but it was filled with blessings and miracles that Heavenly Father gave me. On Tuesday I dropped Elder Angle and said goodbye and it was pretty hard because we have become such good friends but I know he is called to West Richland and he will do awesome. My new companion is Elder Hamblin. He is from West Jordon Utah and he is a UFC fighter.... so I better watch my step. Just kidding, he is super nice and he is still trying to get used to the area here in Pasco so those first couple of days were kinda stressful and I felt like I was training but the first week is over and I am really excited to work with him this transfer. Also I got to see Brad Street this past week! He was my teacher in middle school and works with my dad and it was so awesome to see him and he gave me some treats and it was so awesome.
We had a lesson with Michelle this week and she set a new goal to be baptized on February 7th so that is really exciting and we're going to work extra hard with her to make sure she is baptized! I saw a lot of blessings and miracles that the Lord provided for me and one was we found a new person and Elder Anlge and I had stopped by a few times before and she was not interested but on Thursday we both felt promted to go over and she let us in and she was looking for a change so we are super excited for her!
New Years Eve and Day we're just kinda normal here. We had to be in at 6 New years Eve so that night we played some ping pong in our apartment and it was so much fun. The members here are amazing and we get to spend a lot of time working with them so it's good.
A spiritual thought I had this week was when Elder Hamblin and I were studing in Alma 24 and it talks about the Anti-Nephi-Lehi's and how they gave up their old ways, they gave up their weapons of war so they could grow closer to God because they knew that these things would keep them from growing closer with them. As I studied that I thought what am I going to give up this new year to grow closer to God what is holding me back? I was thinking and I thought I need to give more gratitude in my life, so everyday this year I am going to focus on 1 thing that I am grateful for. Go check out Alma 24:7-10 and see what phrase is in common about gratitude. I know my Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross for not only our sins, but our hardships and our trials. He knows what we are going through so we NEVER have to walk this path alone. I love you all so much and thank you for the prayers and examples to and for me.
