Hey everyone I hope you all had a great Christmas and I wish you all a happy new year!
It sounds like a fun week during Christmas. Even though things were different this year the true meaning of Christmas will always be the same and that is so awesome! When I was reading your letter I started laughing out loud when I read the part about Austin getting mad at the characters in Mario Kart and I can see him just standing up and yelling at 1:30 in the morning but that sounds like a good time! Mom and family do you have any fun plans for the new year? Is dad gonna throw a big party like he always does;). I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Mom thank you for sharing your testimony about the Book of Mormon prophets and what they went through becuase they knew how important it was.Tha is just an example to me of how true this book is, these prophets literally gave up their lives to have this book and I know that all 534 pages are true.
My week was really awesome! I went on exchanges with Elder Dushku this week and it was amazing. I learned so much and he goes home in February but he is a great example to me. Then it was Christmas Eve and it was so much fun! We got home early that morning and did a huge food drive and it was really fun to serve others! Then we went and played football with some high school kids!!! We played some 7 on 7 and thanks to coach Birch I knew what I was doing and these kids weren't expecting a missionary that could play! It was so awesome. Then we went to dinner at a members house and they had little kids so I was just getting them hyped for Santa to come! Then we went to the institute building and had a zone party and it was fun! Then Christmas day happened and we opened presents in the morning and it was so fun and then we headed over to a members house for some lunch and talked and it was awesome and then we went outside and it was a Christmas miracle because it snowed about 2-3 inches so I felt right at home.
Then Saturday was an amazing day with speed bump in the road. The amazing part was that Kristopher got baptized!!!! It was such a testimony builder for me because it almost fell through again but with the help of the Lord and a lot of prayer he was baptized and I actually got to do the confirmation and it was just a reminder of why I am here serving, and it is to help people come unto Christ and it was super special for me. My President told me last week that, "there is always darkness before the light, good things are sure to come.
Then the speed bump is that transfers are on Tuesday and Elder Anlge got the call that he is going to West Richland to be a Zone Leader and I will be staying here and getting a new companion. I am really bummed about it because Elder Angle is super awesome and I've learned so much from him but I know this is the Lord's will and I know that my new companion, Elder Hamblin, is meant to be my companion here and im super excited to be able to learn from more missionaries!
I love you all and am grateful for the prayers and support! The church is true and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can all be saved. Love you all!
