Mom thanks for praying for the people we're teaching, that really stood out to me and just to know you and others are praying for people here in little Basin City is so awesome and I know the Lord hears and answers our prayers so thanks.
To answer your question I think Heavenly Father's hand was in my life a bunch of times this week. You're right that everything we do and experience seems to be a blessing from Heavenly Father. Every lesson I go into and speak Spanish, the Lord helps me out a ton. There is an awesome scripture in Mormon 9:19 that talks about how God is providing miracles in our lives every day it's just up to us to recognize them.
The big wedding! I am so glad everything worked out and you love the Stiles family. They are really awesome and I am glad that Ash is a part of this family now! It sounds like a quiet simple wedding which is the best kind, except for the 40mph wind I am glad everything worked out and you were all able to be in the temple together as a family, that is really awesome and that Grandpa and Grandma Reiley and Grandma Hart were all able to be there. Our family is so blessed and I did miss being there but calling them was good and I know there will be blessings that follow because of the mission and there's nothing else I would want to be doing. Also could you send me the pictures that Lyndsey took when you get a chance? I also loved your thougths about President Marshall's talk about going to Heavenly Father, the main source, to find an answer. I am gonna take your quote and use it quite a bit because I love it! "The loud world seems to take over the quiet truth of the gospel" Thanks for your thoughts.
MY WEEK
This week was pretty interesting and good. Nothing too crazy happened and we just are still going on. We met with Norma this week and invited her to church yesterday but she didn't come so we went out to her mom's house and helped pick up chicken eggs and talk with her family for a bit. Her dad was telling me the difference between a ranch egg and a farm egg and I only understood about 30% of what he was saying so it was pretty funny.
L.and O. (they are the two kids) are not feeling to comfortable with baptism the 24th but we are just trying to nurture them along and their mom supports them but I just don't know about their desire but just keep helping them along a little at a time and I trust the Lord will provide a miracle.
We met with Juan and he's still the same pretty much but we keep meeting with him and hopefully one day he will know of the simple and quiet truth. That's pretty much it for our people but we also got to do a lot of service this week even though the Shaws were still gone. We had a big zone service and helped clean up this lady's orchard so it was really cool! We sang to her after and my first thought was, "oh boy" but it turned out good and I love serving people that's for sure!
Also I went on an exchange with an Elder Gardner and it was awesome. I stayed here in Basin so I was pretty nervous about the Spanish and everything but it is amazing to see the Lord provide a lot of miracles in my life. We had a good conversation with this lady about how in this world there is a lot of temptation but through Christ we can overcome it and that is so true.
Also a big miracle was we were driving down the road and I had a quick thought to go to Bruce's house and he is a not religious guy and only likes us doing service but Elder Gardner and I showed up and asked if we could share a message and he said, "It's about time you boys came I thought you forgot about me." So I had probably the most spiritual lesson I've had and Elder Gardner was awesome, so we invited Bruce to pray so it was really awesome and I love how the Lord provides those miracles during stressful times.
That was pretty much my week but I love you all. I am so grateful for eternal families and that Ashlee is apart of ours now. I pray for you guys everyday and I am grateful for your prayers. Keep it up and loving life.
Love Elder Reiley
