Hey everyone! I hope you all had a good week.
Mom thanks for your spiritual thoughts. I absolutely loved those quotes you said about how if we want to achieve a goal we need to get out of our comfort zone and really trust the Lord we can do it!
It sounds like you had a good week just catching up. Glad to hear Ty and Kinley are tearing it up in track and hopefully they can keep doing good. When is districts for them? Also I would love to watch some baseball today but we are going on a hike today to a waterfall so I am pretty excited but I'll try and get back to call. I am so impressed by your good attitude mom! In the world there can be a lot to be distraught about but I'm glad you are so positive and see how many blessings are in our lives.
MY WEEK
This week was pretty good here in Basin City. Thursday and Saturday we spent the whole day in service clothes going around helping everyone out so it was so much fun!
We found a new friend we started teaching and she is about to have a baby and is looking for some peace in her life so we are really excited to start teaching her!
We taught Billy a few times this week and we taught her the Word of Wisdom and it did not go as planned. We asked her if she could give up tea and coffee and she said she might "have to argue with God if that's what He wants her to do" but we will keep working with her and do some service too!
Then on Thursday we had our service and it was so cool! Then in the night we had a BBQ with the Eppichs and got to meet their neighbors who aren't members so that was cool and BIG NEWS!!!! I finally met John Strong at the BBQ and he is so cool. We were talking about so many stories about him fishing with dad and it was so awesome, such a good family and he said I can get some Strong Crete merchandise so I'm really excited.
Then we had a MISSION WIDE PARTY on Friday and it was so cool. I got to see Elder Angle and Ross and so many friends! We had a mini Olympics with the Physical: was volleyball and we lost. Social: was charades and we lost. Intellectual: was a big scavenger hunt and out of 260 missionaries we got 2nd so I got a "silver" medal but it was so fun! Then we had a magic show and a big BBQ then President finished us off with a sweet Spiritual part but it was an awesome day.
Then yesterday on Sunday we had an awesome day. Remember the girl I talked about that wanted to get baptized? Well we haven't be able to meet with her but yesterday at church, her mom, sister, and her came to church and we got to meet them and it was such a tender mercy of the Lord!
I know Heavenly Father is in the details of our life and picks us up when we hit the floor. I love serving a mission. The blessings definitely outweigh the hard days. Love you all and hope you find Heavenly Father's hand in your life this week!
