April 25 - May 1, 2021

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had an awesome week!

Mom thanks for the letter and all the time and effort you put in writing to me each week so I am thankful for these letters. Thank you also for all the prayers you are saying for the people we are teaching and I know each prayer helps so thank you.
So for teaching- Joe: been awhile since we've taught him but little at a time
Billie: not really progressing but it's good to give her a visit sometimes
L and O doing good, still don't feel ready for baptism
Norma; really nice and listens and learns so little at a time
Bruce: taught him a few lessons and he is praying about our message which is awesome!
R and R- unbaptized youth and they are the girls that came to church and want to be baptized
K and her husband J: really nice couple who want to find a religion but kinda hard to contact but really awesome.
These are the people we are working with really and it is pretty hard because not very many of them really have a desire but count your blessings because we could have no one to teach so I am really thankful we can go by and visit everyone and just plant little seeds and I know one day they will grow.

It sounds like you guys had a really awesome week with watching some baseball and track, it's so cool Kinley and Ty did good at the Tiger Grizz. Also it sounds like a blast to go help out Jessica and her family doing those cows. I remember last year how fun it was doing it the old fashion ways and those pictures are super cool too! Thanks for the updates on all my friends too. I love hearing from them sometimes, and I am glad everyone is doing good. You're definitely right that coming on the mission when I did and not putting it off was really the best thing for me and I know so many blessings come from serving a mission whether they be in this life or the next. Thanks for your spiritual thought and I love all the quotes you send me! I find myself always using them in lessons and meetings so thank you and I know all we can do is trust the Lord and have an actual desire for Him to prevail in our lives.

My Week:
On Monday we finally had a lesson with R and R and their mom and dad. We had it with the Riner family and they are so cool! It was a good lesson and R. wants to be baptized but the parents don't want to push anything too quick but thanks to Father in Heaven we had a really good visit with them.

Tuesday we had Zone Conference in Kennewick and it was pretty long but had some really good trainings from President and Sister Rasmussen and some other missionaries and I consumed a lot of information and have a lot to work on that's for sure, but President kept saying just one goal at a time and I loved it. Then after we went to John Strong's to get some sweatshirts and hats and I ended up meeting Luke over there too so I am 2 for 2 in meeting the Strong boys.

Wednesday was pretty average, we went to Pasco to get our car serviced and while we waited Jake and Hannah Shaw came and took us out to lunch and they are the best! Then after we did some more service at the rental house but then on Thursday I went on exchanges with Elder Dye from Island Park (we played each other in football) and it was sweet and had a good lesson with Karie and I had a really good time with him and learned a lot. This weekend they had high school Washington state rodeo here in Basin City so we went and checked it out and tried to talk to some people but everyone was pretty clear they were just there to watch the rodeo but the Lord sure does love effort. I just kept thinking I was gonna see Cookster out there riding his horse. It was a really awesome week and I love Basin!

We did find out transfers this morning and I will be staying here in Basin so I am hyped for it but Elder Williams is getting transferred to Mabton Washington and I will be serving with Elder Ashton and all I know is he is from Utah so hopefully he likes doing service.I am nervous and excited to take over and I know change is good for me. I also know this is what the Lord wants for me at this moment and I am excited to see the blessings that come from it.

I love you all and I want to leave my favorite quote that helped me get on my mission and it is from Elder Holland's "A perfect Brightness of Hope"- "We have every reason to HOPE for blessings even greater than these we have already received because this is the work of the Almighty God, this is the Church of continued revelation and benevolence."

Love you all and have an amazing week!
(sorry this one is a little long)
