June 20-28, 2021

Hey family and friends! Thanks for the email and I hope everyone is being safe and doing good. Just wanted to let you all know I pray for you each day because I wouldn't be where I am today serving the Lord without you all!

It sounds like a good week for everyone! That is good Dad and Grandpa starting cutting hay before it all burned. Is it still really dry with no rain in sight? That's so cool about Austin and Ashlee playing some softball! Is it for Brian's team again? I remember how fun those games were and it was just so much fun to play with Austin again so I hope he enjoys another season (and he looks out for those trees😉)

I love your quote from President Nelson and I can tell you listen to the Spirit mom because whatever you send seems to fit perfectly for what I need. I especially love the part that says as long as we are doing our part, "great rewards and unimaginable achievements are possible." I don't have a perfect testimony yet, but I do know this is true, that if we have a sense of URGENCY to do what the Lord wants us to do, blessings and miracles will follow.

MY WEEK
This may be one of the best weeks I've had yet! Even though for the past week it has been 100-110 degrees which I'm not used to at all but it helped us because a lot of people were home and willing to let us in.

First off on Tuesday and Wednesday we did a lot of visiting apartments and trying to really talk to everyone in Basin. So by doing this we found Ricardo and his two friends we're teaching now and Ricardo came to church yesterday which was so cool! We also found a family who I love already! They just got here from Mexico about a month ago and so humble; they don't have much at all but every time Isabel, the mom, feeds us and gives us water. They weren't able to come to church yesterday but said they would switch their schedules and try to come next week and it's amazing to see the Lord provide the people who are ready and I pray we can do everything to help them feel His love.

Thursday was a pretty normal day but we started doing volleyball at 8pm every Thursday night and it was last minute last week and we still had a good turnout so I'm excited to see this week. Also on Friday we helped out the Shaws plant about 6 trees in their yard and working with their kids is so fun! Then they fed the whole district.

Alright then this weekend we had the Basin City Freedom Rodeo and it was the coolest thing. We helped park cars Friday and Saturday night in about 110 but it was so worth it because we met and talked to so many people. We also dropped off a lot of little cards on people's cars so maybe we'll get a call! We went Friday with Norma and actually watched some rodeo so it was fun, then Saturday night they had a big firework show and we got to watch from the Shaws and for all you who are still reading.... we have another rodeo this weekend for the 4th!

Elder Ashton and I were talking and planning about how we are going to achieve the Lord's vision for our area in Basin and he said something that really stood out to me, "as long as we're not comfortable we're going in the right direction." It's true and I know one of Satan's tools is having us get comfortable and not move forward but it's a good thing we have the Lord on our side and He will help us keep going.

As far as stuff I need I am doing good but if I think of something I will let you know.

Love you all so much and I hope you have the best week ever!

Love Elder Reiley
