June 29- July 3, 2021

Hey everyone! So good to hear from everyone and happy 4th of July to all and how blessed we are to live in this amazing country! It sounds like such a good week and so fun for everyone!

First of all I am so glad that the family reunion was fun and I did miss it because I have so many good memories of those family reuniones at grandma's with family and the fireworks but I was just thinking of those times when Jordon and Jaxon were gone on missions and now it's me so that was pretty good! Also thanks for those spiritual thoughts from Elder Holland and his talk! I definitely love Elder Holland and I share all those quotes so thank you so much.

I'm glad you all were together this weekend with our family and you got to go to some softball games and hangout with Alex and Ash. I love family so much! Hopefully the boys had a good horse ride. I'm sure Wilkes will do a great job as the coach and hopefully I can help out next year!

MY WEEK
This week was so amazing! The 4th of July here in Basin was so amazing. The whole week I was looking forward to it and it paid off. I'll start with the weekend, so Saturday morning we had breakfast with the Shaws and the Elders in Connell and it was fun! Then we headed to the Davidson farm and helped them load up freezers full of ice cream sandwiches because we walked through the parade and handed out ice cream. We handed out probably close to 5,000 bars but it was so fun and we got sprayed by the fire trucks so I was having a good time! Then Saturday night we were invited to the Shaw family reunion so it was just a good fun day.

OK yesterday was an amazing day because I walk into church and I see this guy who looks exactly like my uncle Matt but then I look again and it was him and my cousin Brayden and it was so hyped! I gave them the biggest hug and I love them so much. They gave me some treats and it was just so amazing to see them up here! They were at a baseball tournament and made the drive to go to church with me and say hi and give me some stuff. So cool.

To throw it back a little, we had a great lesson with Ricardo and set up a goal for him to be baptized on the 17th so big prayers for him that it will happen but he's come to church the last 3 weeks and he would help our branch out a lot so the Lord is really blessing us.

Also on Tuesday I had my first chance to give a lady a blessing in Spanish and it was a really cool experience for me. It definitely wasn't perfect but the spirit was super strong and I hope she could feel the love of our Heavenly Father.

On Thursday we had Interviews with President and Sister Rasmussen. We really talked about having enough faith to achieve the Lord's vision. President talked about walking Into the Red Sea and not just tip toe in but go all the way under if we have to then trust the Lord to split it and the best part is, the Lord always comes through as long as we do our part.

I love you all so much! Something so special to me is knowing our Savior lives!!!! He is literally real and one of my favorite quotes is, "You keep going, heaven (and Jesus Christ) is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever!" (Elder Holland) One day at a time! Love you all and have a good week.

Love Elder Reiley
