July 4-12 2021

Hey! Thanks for reaching out again and letting me know what's going on at home. Love hearing from you every week!

It sounds like a nice relaxing week for everyone which is nice! So is dad almost done with hay?

Thanks for the spiritual thought and quote. When we put in all our effort to focus on what HE did and not what we struggle with and we will get through anything. Thanks for the family history story about Grandma Barrus quote about happiness. It is definitely a choice we have to make to be happy, an elder from a few months ago said, "I've never had a bad day on my mission, because I choose to enjoy everyday." That's something that really stood out to me so thank you.

MY WEEK
This week was full of miracles and actually went by so fast I couldn't believe it. On Tuesday we taught Ricardo the word of wisdom and the law of chastity and his faith is amazing. We told him he would have to live these commandments to get baptized and he was totally down because that's what God wanted and it was so cool!

Then on Wednesday we did a zone wide exchange and I was with Elder Woods in Basin City and he goes home at the end of the month so it was so cool go learn from him. We were getting gas when all the sudden I get this call and it's Allan!!!! It was so cool to see him and talk to Cathy too! (Alan is my mom's uncle). Then later that night we had a sweet lesson with Karie and she is just working like crazy but it was nice to meet with her.

I am absolutely loving my time in Basin! It's so fun and always busy but it's good! I went on an exchange with Elder Worden on Saturday and it was a blast! We did service all morning and helped someone move and then helped Jake that morning. Then we had a lesson with Ricardo and we taught him Sabbath day which was good but then we had to teach him tithing and I've never done it before in Spanish but then the Sisters pulled up and Sister Silva who is from Chile helped me get through it and it was such a blessing for me.

On Sunday I got to speak in 2nd ward but it was kind of hectic because a family we are teaching came to Spanish Branch and it was such a miracle! But everything worked out and the talk was really good. If you want you can read, "The Father" by Brian K. Ashton.

Sorry this is a long one but it would help if everyone could pray for Ricardo this week that he'll feel comfortable about his baptism. I love you all so much and have a good week!

Love Elder Reiley
