June 6-12, 2021

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for the email!

It sounds like everyone had a good week and everyone was safe so that makes me happy.

To answer your question for this week, I feel like my faith has grown a lot because if you think about it, all we do as missionaries is take little steps of faith. We invite others to come closer to Christ and they could really say no and drop us but we take this step of faith and trust that God will soften their hearts and accept it. Also trust growing my faith that I'm supposed to to be here instead of Mexico but faith is definitely something that doesn't happen overnight. Also I loved your quote! There are distractions in this life but when we take a step back and focus on God everything does work out.

MY WEEK
This week was transfers and turns out I'm staying another one in Basin City! I'm so excited and Elder Ashton and I are ready to go to work even harder here. We tried to go by Karie's but she wasn't home all week! But then Sunday she invited us to her family's party and it was so much fun. Then Reagan and Riley didn't make their date for today but please pray for her parents so they can meet and just have a desire to get it done because Reagan was really disappointed she couldn't be baptized.

On Tuesday we went with Steve Price and killed a bunch of chickens again but I didn't get any pictures. Then on Wednesday we did service for Jake and had some lunch with him. On Thursday we had Zone Conference and it was soo nice to get some training and realizing that we still have a lot to get better but this life is a life of growing. On Friday we had a BBQ with Steve because we helped him with his chickens and he is a super nice guy and I love doing service because the people are all so appreciative. On Saturday the highlight was the Shaws threw a big BBQ because Elder Bradley finished his mission and it was so fun because we had our whole district came up and we had a fun day!

Also some highlights this week was I didn't sprain my ankle in ball. Also I had the awesome opportunity to give a talk in the Spanish Branch about the talk in the Priesthood session by Elder Nielson called "This is our moment". I was pretty nervous to give a talk in Spanish but I know Heavenly Father was with me and it's amazing. He trusts these young people to go out, learn a language, and share the salvation of the Gospel with Hhis children.

I've been thinking a lot of how God blesses us each individually because He knows us best. He blesses some with success, knowledge, health, and many more ways. I've reflected my time here in Basin and it hasn't been too long but my time with Elder Williams was such a blessing because he taught me this area and my time with Elder Ashton has been a blessing because my testimony has grown a lot. Every day we get a blessing; I know God loves us and wants us to be happy so "Find joy in the journey."

I love you all and am sooooo grateful for the examples set before me and the fact I know I can live with my family forever. Have a good week!

Love Elder Reiley
