August 14-20, 2022

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good week and saw a lot of miracles. This week I was reminded once again how awesome missionary life is and how fast the time goes by. I sure do love you all and thanks for your support and I hope you can all participate in missionary work everyday.

That's super good to hear about Annalea's talk she gave and I wasn't able to connect but I'm sure she did great and it was fun to see all her pictures and all the family there to support her and that makes me so happy she is going to be a missionary and have such great experiences to help her all her life! If you can send me her talk I would love to read/listen to it.

Reply: Thanks for the updates on the week and I can't believe school is going to start that's no fun at all. I'm sure dad is just pumped to head back. But that sounds like a fun week of camping and going to see Skylar and Jax and Alex. That's awesome that you can go there and help them out but sounds like a good time! Also thanks for your spiritual thought on President Nelsons talk about getting better every single day and its something I've learned as a missionary is super important just trying to be better every day. Also I love Elder Uchtdorf's talk on finding that good balance with everything in our lives and especially to put God first, thanks so much.

My week: Well another week that was good and went by really fast! Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty normal days just the office in the morning and we had some really good work in our area and found a lot of new friends to teach!

Something cool and exciting is we heard about the mission tour we are having with Elder Montoya the first weekend of September so it will be wild trying to get everything ready but also it will be a good experience to learn and grow and im excited to receive Revelation from him.

Thursday and Friday we had a lot of planning and a mission devotional and President Chávez hyped us up about our missionary purpose and it was so fun! We are also planning when the new assistants are going to come so we can train them and we are thinking one will be this week! It is so much going on but I was reminded by Nephi 9:6 to just trust the Lord in everything and as long as I do everything I can He has the power to take care of the rest and I'm grateful for that knowledge and peace it brings me.

Friday also I had exchanged with Elder Ollerton in Comalcalco and it was awesome! We had a bunch of spiritual filled lessons and put one of their friends on date to be baptized and we just shared experiences and it was so awesome! I was taking back a little how awesome the Lord is that blessed us with the gift of tongues and how two white guys from Idaho and Utah could be here in Mexico and understand the people to help them so it was a Good experience!

This week I studied a talk that was really good. One from Elder Uchtdorf in April 2017 called "the greatest among you". It was so good and talked about how members of the church its opportunity to serve others. How "he that shall be the greatest among you, also he shall be thy servant." It stood out to me a lot and I want you all to think about 2 questions.
1. When was the last time I served someone with the intention of not receiving anything in return?
2. How many times didn't I act on a service opportunity?

Think about and ponder these questions and I promise you that the spirit will speak and teach a principle that will help us for our lives. I love you all and thanks for your support and love I feel from all of you. I hope you have the best week ever!

Love Elder Reiley
