August 22-28, 2021

Hey everyone! Hope you all are good, this week was such a good week for the whole mission! Definitely one of my favorites.

Reply: Wow mom that sounds like a good week for you and everyone back home. Thanks for the updates and I can't believe this is year 31 for you, that is exciting that you get to go back and see new kids and have an influence on them. That is rough about Jackson and us but hopefully they can win the next one. That is so cool you could help the Browns out by taking their kdis everywhere and that's good for you to keep busy. I can not believe dad climbed the grand!!!! That is something I want to do now so tell him to get training for the next couple of summers. If he has some pictures please send those over. I am also sad to hear about your cousin Kris mom that is really sad so sorry about that. You're so right that Satan will just work on us little by little and tell the family I'll be praying for them. I also loved your talk you sent, so true about being positive and also I loved the story about Grandma Hart, I have never heard of that before so that definitly strengthened my testimony. Thanks for sharing Matt's experience and it's so cool to see someone that really could have and has reasons to be angry with God but yet he is thankful and finds the positive.

MY WEEK: So this week was pretty good and very spiritually filled. Elder Lynn G. Robbins and Elder Carlos Gm Revillo from the seventy and their wife's came and toured our mission and we spent the whole weekend with them basically and I am going to try and explain how awesome it was but I'm sorry if I can't.

So on Wednesday we had the first meeting with them from about 9-4 but it was so awesome! The main thing that stood out to me was they didn't train on anything new. They hit the basics so hard and expressed how this mission needs to be centered on Christ and it was a very spiritual experience for me and I can testify that Jesus is the Christ and President Nelson is the prophet of God, their testimonies were so awesome and they are just great people to be around.

Thursday came around and we didn't have any meetings but we went on exchanges and I went with Elder Eyring and we came in together and he's probably one of my best buddies so we had a really good time and still got a lot of work done!

On Friday we had our Zone Conference so we got up early and headed over and we first got a picture with our zone and 2 others with Elder Robbins and then we started. I got to conduct the meeting so it was a way cool experience and opportunity for me. Then I took so many notes and learned a lot about missionary work and how the Lord has prepared our mission to achieve miracles and it was so inspiring. Then after the conference we had a good lunch and Elder Brown and I actually got to sit by the Revillos and talk with them which was cool and they are such great people. After lunch we had a fianl meeting again with some missionaries and Elder Robbins taught us how to be good leaders but also about being good parents and not, "preparing the road for our kids but preparing our kids for the road." So thank you mom and dad for being such great parents and I couldn't help but think of you both when he was talking.

Also real quick a little update on everything and everyone. Alexis's mom said he can't get baptized so please pray that she will soften her heart. Ramon had some issues as well so Satan was working pretty hard this week but it's a good thing the dark comes before the light! Javier and Patricia got their marriage information so please pray this weekend will work out and they can get married and baptized but that's just a little update on them.

Last thing I just want to say is how grateful I am to be here in this mission. Elder Robbins really expressed how we are called to a mission president and his wife more than we are called to a mission. If Mexico comes it will come but I know for sure that the Lord needs me here and I'm sure glad he does!

I love you all and hope you have a good week.

Love Elder Reiley
