August 15-21, 2021

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for the email and the updates on everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed your last week of freedom and I know the school year will get going and be absolutely awesome!

REPLY: Mom thanks for the email and it sounds like a good week for you all! That's awesome Jaxon and Alex are taking this next step and you and dad could go and help them! That apartment in Logan does have a lot of good memories but with something new means more memories! I just think it's so cool to see the Lord just line up everything for them. That is awesome that Wilkes is excited about football and you'll have to keep me updated on how they do.

I'm so glad to hear Matthew is getting his surgery done and he's on that road back go recovery. That must be a hectic life with Lando about to head out but their faith is really a good example to me. It goes along with that quote you sent me about our attitude and it was so so good! Our attitude does really mean everything.

MY WEEK. Well it was definitely another eventful week. We spent Tuesday planning for zone stuff but actually got to go to dinner with a member that Elder Carr got close with so it was really fun! Then on Wednesday we had a fun day because it was Elder Browns birthday! We had our zone Council meeting and it was really good! Then we went and got a cake and then as a district we opened presents for him and made cookies... But it gets better. For dinner we went to a Brazilian grill (kind of like tocanos) and it was so much fun I can't tell you and something I'll never forget!

Then on Thursday Hermano Balero took all the missionaries to a Hispanic Restaurant for Elder Carrs last day and then that evening we went to the trailer park and started playing soccer with the kids there and then we had an awesome lesson with them! We invited 3 kids to be baptized the 4th of September and they all agreed and it was so cool for Elder carr to finish it off like that.

That was the summary of a really good week but I know this church is so true. I'm so glad to be here with Elder Brown and I can tell you I've never been happier. Yesterday we met a guy and played some football with them then shared with him a message and I just realized how awesome it is to be a missionary. I see the Lord's hand in my life and even though there are hard days, the results of the service we put in is well worth it!

Elder Lynn G. Robbins is coming to our mission this week and I want to invite you all to read his talk "Be 100% responsible" it has changed the way I live and even though I have a long ways to go I know we can all change with the help of Christ. A quote from his talk says, "having faith means trusting in Him and His timing." I love you all and hope you have a good week.

Love Elder Reiley
August
