August 8-14, 2021

Hey everyone! Thanks for the email and updates on everyone. This week was super solid for all us here in Pasco and it was so much fun.

REPLY: That is no fun that you have to go in and get stuff ready to start teaching some of Pence's classes. Is she not teaching just because of Covid stuff? Also that is so cool grandpa got a new swather and I'll be praying dad can cut and bail our hay and avoid all the rain, but sounds like it's gonna be a pretty busy week. That is good to hear that Ash is feeling better and Austin is getting ready for school, they'll just keep on pushing forward! That is really sad to hear about Matthew and I'll definitely keep him in my prayers but he is one of the most patient-faithful people I know but keep me updated on him.

So the baptism in Pasco was for the Sisters in our zone so I was just trying to get the word out because it was a special experience for Victoriano.

That is so cool to hear about Rhet and Dallin's fairwell. I am really proud of Dallin that he came around and he's going and it sounds like a super good talk and it is cool that Rhet shared his story but also he had a huge impact on all of our friends so it all lines up with God's plan. Also those quotes you shared are just what I needed to hear especially the one from Elder Uchtdorf about working towards goals. We set some higher goals for the zone and there has been a little drama and whining kind of but I think that quote is exaclty what I needed to hear so thank you!

MY WEEK
Like I said before it was a very exciting week with everything going on. Elder Carr goes home this Friday so today we're going on his mission tour so I get to see something besides Pasco but I'm pretty sad he's leaving.

Last tuesday we went out to BASIN CITY because we had some businesses out there and I actually saw a couple of members so it was super fun! Also I got registered to drive the big van(it is just like Dylan Hatch's van) for the Elders here so that was pretty fun!

Wednesday was a really cool day too because we had Zone Council and we got so hyped about missionary work and how about this is supposed to be fun and it was really fun! Elder Brown and I also gave a training on how to have good effective first lessons and it was so good but the missionaries here are so good. Then after we went on a Zone Wide Exchange and I went with a new missionary Elder Anderson over to Kennewick with Elder Eyring and we saw so many miracles!

Also just wanted to share two miracles real quick to kinda wrap up. I'm sharing these miracles because I want you all to see how Heavenly Fathers hand is personally in my life.
Miracle #1: On Thursday we were out knocking some apartments and Elder Carr felt prompted to know a door and we found this girl who said her mom would be home in 30 minutes so come back later so we leave and we're walking down the street and a lady comes up and it's the mom and she takes us back and we have an awesome first lesson with them and they are such a cool family! So anyway I get in the car and I get a text from a Christy saying thanks for stopping by and turns out I've been messaging her since January and now we're teaching her so it was so crazy and it's all credit to the Lord.

Miracle#2: We met with a member last night named Patricia and she's living with her boyfriend named Javier and we just had a little visit about how the gospel blesses our lives and then it was so spiritual and Elder Carr got really bold and loving and invited them to get married in 2 weeks and then for Javier to get baptized on September 4th and they accepted and it was pretty humbling for me to see how I am simply a tool in the Lord's hand and how with faith we can accomplish His work because its gonna get done no matter what.

I know this is the best thing in the world that any of us can do is to share the gospel, and guess what? You don't have to be a full-time missionary to share what we know it true and every time we try to share our testimony we are blessed so just have the "send it" mentality and expect the Lord to bless us.

Love you all! Have a very fun and safe week!

Love Elder Reiley
