June 19-25, 2022

Hey everyone! Had another good and safe week here in Mexico. It is the rainy season here so I am thankful it has cooled off just a little bit but I am doing really well! Update is President and Hermana Whitworth leave for home this Wednesday and we get President and Hermana Chavez that day. It is something exciting but also sad but I know with Heavenly Father's help we can make the transition a good one.

Reply: Thanks for the update on the week and how everything is just moving along great during summer time! I am so glad mom you were able to go to the temple and have a good experience. We went through the temple on Saturday and it was a great experience. Thanks for the update on B phil and Will and just all those cool little highlights throughout the week really I do love reading about them.

Congrats to Justin!!!! That is super exciting news to hear that he is gonna have a shot to go and play and compete for a 2 way contract. I know he will do great! Also thanks for sharing your thoughts from the Book of Mormon and how we can really learn from these stories every single day. Something that I like too is when we believe the words of the prophets and apostles we are believing the same words that Christ has said. Also President Hinkley said it was perfect and a lesson that Elder Villanueva has helped me learn. To do our best, to be exactly obedient and the Lord will work everything else out so thanks for your thoughts!

My Week: This week was a lot more normal and relaxed than last week so that was good! We had a bit more time to work in our area and we saw a lot of miracles!

One goal I am trying to work on is continuing to stay out of my comfort zone. I have caught myself getting into a rhythm of the same thing every day, going to the offices, then to go eat, then work and come home. It is pretty much everyday but my goal is to try and mix things up and look for new ways to accomplish all of our tasks and it is how I have seen a lot of miracles this past week but I still need to get better.

A quick update on the Recent Converts is Guadalupe and Yamileth are doing so good. We had a good visit with them this week about family history and Guadalupe is doing the missionary work really well! Also got her recommend and Regina too so we are so happy about that! Also I have kept in contact with the Cerritos and they had a rough patch for awhile but they have been coming back to church and are active and I don't know if you remember Maraceli who almost got baptized when I was there, well she got baptized last week so it was a really special moment to see that picture!

About everyday we are meeting with President and he is giving us a lot of training and advice to prepare for President Chavez. It is really good but also sad like I have said but we did spend a lot of time with him last week to get prepared because Wednesday is the big day!

The big highlight of the week is Saturday we were able to go to the temple with a recent convert Isabel! I can't describe how amazing it was and I just felt a peace the whole morning and she was blown away by how beautiful it was. She lives in a pretty humble part of Villahermosa so it was so awesome for her to go to the temple. I want to go inside the temple as much as possible because before Saturday it was a year since I had been able to go in and I was reminded of the peace there is and I can testify it is the Lord's house and it is where we will feel the closest to our Father in Heaven.

Thank you all for your support and emails and just hearing from you all makes my day. I love every single one of you and I testify with all my heart that Christ lives. He came to America I know it, the people here have legends of something or someone who healed their ancestors but they just don't know that it was Jesus Christ and I know He loves us.

Love you all and hope you have a good week!

Love Elder Reiley
