June 12-18, 2022

Hey everyone! Happy Father's Day to you all! Sure do love my dad and I wouldn't be where I am today without him. Hope you all had a fantastic week and glad to hear everything is going well. I love hearing from all of you and I hope you guys are having a great summer!

Reply: Thanks for the update on the week and those pictures of Yellowstone are crazy! I can't believe there is that much water, hopefully everything will calm down and get back to normal but it is good for dad's hay so we will take it. Also super fun to hear about the summer ball that is going on and I hope they can get it all together but how is the team looking? Who is on varsity?

Thanks also for your spiritual thoughts on 3 Nephi 18 and how really the sacrament does fill us and when there is a Sunday when we don't take it we really do notice that we miss something but also that quote about the Priesthood is awesome! I am going to share that with some members here because really it is something so true and helps us know our true Identity.

I loved reading your comments about Father's day and on Sunday it was a crazy day and we were doing a bunch of stuff but we had a short time to settle down a little bit and it was when I was able to think about the influences I have had in my life and I am really blessed to have all my family in my life.

My Week: Ok I am going to try and remember what happened this week because we were really busy with transfers and planning all the traveling and interviews so it was a wild one but super good!

On Tuesday it was a pretty normal day with District council and had a few meetings in the afternoon. Then we were able to leave and get to work and had the baptismal interview for Regina and she passed!

Wednesday and Thursday were days that we worked really hard! We contacted so many people and invited a whole lot of them to Regina's baptism on Saturday and we had a lot of lessons so it was a good time for us and we saw a lot of cool miracles.

Friday wasn't too exciting because we got to the office and had our Devotional that we do every week and then after that we had our meeting with President and Hermana Whitworth and all the secretaries and after President took us to lunch at this sports place and it was super good. Then from 3-6 we just planned transfers so it wasn't too exciting but it is so amazing to see how we (mostly President Whitworth) receive revelation for the mission!

Saturday was Regina's baptism and it was awesome!! We went early with the Hermana's and prepared everything then had the service and it was super special and she is so elect! We are hoping to go to the temple with her on Saturday so keep her in your prayers.

Crazy things about the baptism is that her boyfriend's family came from Mexico city, Cancun, and BYU-Idaho so it was cool to see she had that support but as Sister Whitworth said, "That was an interesting baptism" the service was really good just that they have a lot of money and everyone kind of felt uncomfortable but it made Regina happy so we are all good with it!

Sunday we had stake conference with Elder Casillas from the 70 and he gave a great talk about the temple and missionary work and he said, "How much time are spending in the temple? Is it sufficient? How much time do you think you need to be in the presence of God? Is it sufficient?" I thought about that and realized I need to do better to go to the temple. Obviously as a missionary it is different but I know when I get home I want to spend as much time in the presence of my father heavenly father as I can. It was a really good stake conference and I felt the spirit super strong and I just kept on thinking "how awesome is it to be on a mission." I love this mission the Lord has given me and wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world!

Yesterday was a regular day because we had 14 missionaries leaving and Elder Villanueva and I went to the airport and picked up 4 new ones and all I could think about was I landed in Pasco my first day but it was super fun to get them here in Villahermosa.

I love you all and I know this church is true and more than that I know there are people everywhere who are ready and NEED the gospel in their life so look around and try to share your testimony everyday with someone! Thanks so much and have a good week!

Love Elder Reiley
