June 5-11, 2022

Hey everyone! Thank you for the email and updates on the week! Good ole summer you just kick back and do what you have to do but that is awesome to hear! This week was really awesome for us too! A few ups and downs as always but it turned out good.

Reply: Good to hear it was more of a relaxed week and that everyone kind of just did their own thing but those are the best weeks. I am glad to hear Grandma and Grandpa Reiley are good and doing cows and everything was fun! Also that Grandma Hart is doing good and you helped her with her garden. Thanks for the family update as well! Poor Landon I will keep him in my prayers but I can't believe he almost has a year as a missionary right? Also thanks for sharing your thoughts about 3 Nephi and also Elder Uchtdorf's talk and it is true and so important to look for the good things, to be grateful for what we have in every aspect of our lives.

My Week: Like I said this week was pretty good! We had the baptism of Guadalupe and Yamileth!!!!! It was so cool and such a spiritual experience I can't really describe it but it was awesome. With Manuel and Malu we had to push their baptism back because of their work and not having too much time but it's ok because they really have the desire! I'll just give the day by update of what happened this week really fast!

Monday: Super fun pday because we went bowling with President and Hermana Whitworth with the district and it was so much fun! Then we went to wing stop and had a good time there so it was a fun day!

Tuesday: It was a really good day because we had District council and after we went to work and found a few new people to teach and we finished the day with a lesson with Viridiana who has a baptismal date for the 26 of june but we walked out of her house and it started to rain like crazy with wind and it was a mini hurricane! We were soaked so we had to go into a store and call our bishop who gave us a ride home but it was a wild storm.

Wednesday was a longer day with a few trials. All morning long we were in the office with meetings and just working and we finally got out around 2:30 and went to work and had exchanges with Elder Nuffer (from Rigby Idaho) and it was super good too. We got caught in another storm but it was fun. Then we had some trouble because we had to go to Veracruz that night to make the conference Thursday morning so we barely made it in time and then we realized that our tickets were 8:30AM and not 8:30PM so we had to buy new ones and it was pretty hard. Also I got checked by immigration and they almost didn't let me pass so it was stressful and we got to the elders apartment around 2 in the morning.

Thursday was a good one with Zone Conference and it was so fun to see all the missionaries I was serving with and it was a good conference. We sang "God be with you till we meet again" to president and sister Whitworth so it was rough but the spirit was super strong. Also our training was really good and all in all it was a good one. Then we cleaned up and came home with the Whitworth's and got to ask questions and get to know them a little bit more so it was a lot of fun.

To finish it off on Friday was the baptism of Guadalupe and Regina. It was a good time getting everything ready, running back and forth for the clothing and cleaning supplies but it all worked out perfectly and was such a cool experience for them as a family and us.

Like I said it was a good week and went by so fast and this is the last week of the transfer which is so crazy. Just a few more updates is that we got a referral from the sisters and her name is Regina and she is the most elect person I have ever met and we are planning her baptism soon but we are super excited! I am so humbled to see how the Lord prepares His children to receive the gospel and it blows me away how open and willing the people are to listen to us.

I read two scriptures I loved this week. The first is Doctrine and Covenants 76:5 which basically says how the Lord blesses those who serve him and has mercy for those who "fear" him and I was thinking of what uncle Doug told me, "to never fear man more than god" so I really loved this scripture. The second is in Mosiah 7:33. In the world there are a lot of trials and what not but the most important knowledge any person could have is to know that if we "turn to the lord with full purpose of heart, trust/serve him," that He will deliver us from whatever circumstance we are in.

I love you all so much and pray for you all everyday! I hope you all have a safe good week and that you can all get 1% better everyday. Love you.

Love Elder Reiley
