Hey! How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and having so much fun and joy! This week was super good actually! We saw a lot of miracles and overcame obstacles and Isabel was able to be baptized yesterday so it was such a blessing.
Reply: Wow sounds like a really good week for you all! That is super cool you were able to go to the temple with Annalea for her first time! I bet that was just so awesome to be there and wow it reminds me of my first time, but do you know if she has online MTC or does she go there right off the bat? Also congratulations to Dallin! The pictures look really awesome and I am glad they were able to be sealed in the temple and you were able to be there and support them! I love the temple and the FACT that families will be together forever! Thanks for all the updates and so cool you got to go on a horse ride and just have those fun summer activities.
Also thanks for taking the time to watch President and Sister Whitworth's report. They are so amazing and I wasn't able to watch it but I know it must have been amazing because they are such amazing people! I sure do love them. Thanks for your spiritual thoughts too mom on 3rd Nephi! It is so true that the Lord already has his plan set but we need to be the ones who humble ourselves and change so we can one day be jewels like you mentioned mom. Thanks and sure do love these thoughts.
My Week: Well it was another good week. Time is flying by and we did a lot of planning this week in the office. Transfers are next week so we need to set everything up for transportation and the airport so it was a lot but it is good to be prepared!
As far as our area and the work we are doing there. It was another good week. We found some new people and had to drop a few people that weren't progressing but that's ok because the Lord will always provide more of His children who are ready. We also had some good lessons with our Recent Converts who are always on our minds, but Cecilia and Guadalupe are doing really good and have passed through some tough times lately but they both have gained a stronger testimony so it has been really cool to see their progression these last few months. Everything is going super good and we are just pushing along trying to find new ways to do this great work.
Another highlight is that the ward is starting to support us and we are seeing more people at church which is awesome! On Friday we had a ward activity and had a lot of friends we are teaching come and less actives so it was so awesome! It felt good too because this was like the first activity they've done since covid so it was good to get out of the comfort zone and see so many members come and join in.
Saturday and Sunday were miracle days because Isabel passed her interview and Sunday came to church so happy! After the service she was baptized and it was so amazing. She has been taught the last 6 months and what a privilege it has been to see a person have their own personal conversion in the gospel and she went from learning but not wanting to do anything to reading the book of Mormon and telling us that she was ready. I am so thankful for her example and just learning about the power of conversion through the Atonement of Christ and how it is something real and can change the life of any person here on the earth.
To close I read a cool scripture in 3rd Nephi 5:13 and it just spoke to me when it says, "I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, I have been called of HIM to declare his word.. that they might have everlasting life." Honestly it has been the best experience of my life and to think that this is the process to become a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ is amazing. I remember when Elder Montoya came he talked about when a missionary was asked if the mission was hard and he replied,
"It is a privilege to suffer, have hard days, and hard things to experience just a little of what Christ went through for me." I know it is true and that our trials and troubles will be resolved when we turn to our Savior Jesus Christ. I love you all and wish you the best week!
Love Elder Reiley
