March 13-19, 2022

Hey! Thanks for the email and updates on everything! Those pictures are really cool with Justin and March Madness (I sure do miss it but it's all good. This week was really good actually, ups and downs but we definatly saw a lot of miracles.

Reply: First of all thanks for the email mom and hearing that everything was good just makes my day. So an update on Adriana and Yamileth is they are doing really good and have good questions but haven't come to church the last couple of weeks but we had a pretty good lesson with them and they are interested in learning about the plan of Salvation so everything is going well! Good to hear about the baseball team that got a win!

That is so good to hear that Justin had a good game and an amazing career! Makes me sad I'll never get to see him play in the spectrum anymore but how he will be a legend! Shoutout to Justin, "hereos get remembered but legends never die" Name that movie?? Also really cool to hear the Mission President there is doing work with the youth, and no that happened after I left but that should be really fun!

Reading about Lyndsey just broke my heart. Dang that makes me so sad to hear but that is so nice of you two to go and visit them and see Sayler but man it is so hard. I am glad you got to talk with Wade and I will send him a message today but I know they have so much family and friends to help get them through this but it is so hard. I was thinking to myself when i was reading, "Why Lynsdey? Out of all the people why her?" I caught myself thinking in a way maybe disgraceful or doubting Heavenly Father's plan but then I loved your quote mom, that having faith is trusting in God's plan and we know His plan and the blessings we receive and I felt so much peace to know that everything will be ok.

My Week: Well like I said this week was really interesting.

First I want to talk about a Recent Convert named Edgar. He is our mission "dad" because he does a lot for us and he is amazing. We did our facebook live with him on Wednesday and he is just so great. Well in 1 month since he's been baptized he has received the priesthood, blessed and passed the sacrament, has his recommend for the temple, and is waiting for an appointment for his patriarchal blessing. It is so amazing to see how the gospel literally changes someones life. He is so awesome and is such a good example.

We had a lot of visits this week with people we are teaching and trying to help out this week. We saw so many cool miracles and I know it was because of our faith through trials and hard times that we could see them. On Thursday we were trying to get somewhere to give a blessing and we got lost and the Taxi guy had no idea where to go so we decided to get out at a corner and look at the map so we jumped out and started walking and this guy on his balcony asks us, "are you mormons?" Well mas o menos but turns out his sister is a member and he hasn't seen her in 26 years. I know the Lord answered his prayers and it was humbling to know the Lord trusts us to be his tools.

On Saturday there was an activity in the church in the ward progreso and we had a less active family we are teaching go! It was so cool and fun with lots of food like always at a party but it was fun and then they came to church the next day so it made us really happy and excited for them. Also Saturday we were just walking and saw a lady doing yard work so we asked if she wanted help..... next think we knew she was asking us why we haven't come by anymore. We explained changes with missionaries but we was being taught in the past and it was another cool miracle!

That is the update this week. I can tell you I am really happy and seeing truly how living and sharing the gospel helps us have so much joy in a world of struggles. I love you all and hope you have a great week!

Love Elder Reiley
