Hey! Thanks so much for the email again. Sounds like a good week for everyone which makes me really happy.
Reply: Wow I can't believe it got that cold on Thursday but hey you'll take any day you can get right? I'm glad Austin could go fishing and also you got to go to IF and help grandma, I'll keep her in my prayers always but it makes me happy she is doing better. Jax told me a little bit about the Mountian West but I am glad Justin had a good year and they still get to play in the NIT! Let me know how they do.
Dang, that is really sad to hear about Lindsey. I will be prayer for Sayler and Cole and all their family. I can try to send her a message and talk to her but I sure do love them lots!
Wow I can not believe how crazy of a small world you and Renae had! The Lord is so merciful it is amazing. I think that everything which happened in that story was a tender mercy from Heavenly Father. Maybe it was to remind Taylor's companion that he is doing a good job or the guy who served in Doug's mission was a reminder to remember about his mission and the blessings he's seen. Obviously I can say it helped two mothers, who have sons on the mission, remember that there will always be blessings for those who serve the Lord. That is so awesome and thank you for sharing that with me.
Thank you for your quote from Elder Uctdorf. It is so good to remember that everything that happens, good or bad, is an opportunity to feel Heavenly's Father love.
My Week: This week was really good! We had ups and downs but we had a goal together to have joy everyday and it helped us a lot! I know if we just look for joy, we'll find it.
On Monday we had a really good lesson with Adriana and Yamileth. We talked about the blessing of baptism and how it can help them and we set a baptismal date for April 13 which is super exciting but keep them in your prayers!
This week we focused a lot with working with Less actives. So we got a list and made a big spread sheet with members and we found so much success! #1 we meet new members and help them come back to church and #2 The lord always blesses us with more to teach because we found a family who has a 9 year old son who isn't baptized. It isn't a coincidence but when the Lord sees our desires to help His children come back it is obvious he will bless us with miracles and we saw so many.
A cool miracle was we were visiting a member family and it was late so we needed to leave but they decided to call us a taxi. So it got there and it was a guy named Daniel and his wife Cecilia. They started asking questions and we talked and ended up teaching the restoration and giving them a book of mormon and they were so excited. I know the Lord works according to diligence and because He loves His children and wants them home!
On Friday we had our Zone Conference. It was so cool because we saw so many different missionaries and had such a good time together. I learned so much from President and Hermana Whitworth and we also gave a training which was good. But the last talk was by President Mata who said something that stuck with me. "Every part of your mission was planned by Heavenly Father in a person way" I was thinking about the mission and how I have been through a lot but just thinking that Heavenly Father has planned it this way to help me grow personally because He knew and knows me perfectly and I know it is so true!
That was pretty much the week. We are working hard and having so much fun! I love the mission and my time serving my Savior. I love one scripture this week in 3 Nephi 9:14, go check it out but I know His hand is extended for us to grab and hold on tight.
I love you all and hope you have the best week!!
Love Elder Reiley
