Hey everyone again! This week was super fast. I can't believe it is already Monday again but here we are. We saw so many cool miracles this week from finding new families to teach to having Heavenly Father put angels in our path so it was a good one.
Reply: First of all congrats to my amazing cousins Ty and Kinley for doing such a great job at state track!! Can't believe how awesome that was for them to take control of everything and just have fun and end their track season in a good way! Also I love the experience Kinley had to serve that girl who tripped, honestly that is so cool and I am glad she had that opportunity and her example for all of us to pray and look for opportunities to serve others. Thanks for your spiritual thoughts from Elder Uchtdorf and how everything about the gospel is a light and we will know that we are heading in the right direction. I feel like that can help a lot of people we are teaching now so I am going to use that, thanks!
My Week: Like I said this week was super awesome! We had a lot of miracles and I will try to keep them short and simple so this doesn't turn into a novel but here we go.
So my schedule is Tuesday-Friday. We are in the office from 10-2:30 doing a lot of planning and scheduling meetings and doing a lot of computer work so that is something I am not a huge fan of but when it is 110 degrees outside I can't complain. We have a few meetings with President to plan a lot so we are 100% busy all of the time which is something that I love but I am learning something new everyday and it is amazing how the spirit has helped with the gift of tongues and communicating with missionaries and just helping me in general remember the things we have to do so it has been such a blessing.
Wednesday was a pretty normal day in our area. We had a really good lesson with Manuel and Manu about the book of mormon and questions they had and they are awesome! They didn't come to church yesterday so we will see what happens but they are progressing really well.
Thursday we had our leadership council here in Villahermosa so we got everything ready and I was pretty nervous but everything turned out really well and we had such a good time with the elders and sisters and it was a really good meeting. Pretty sad because it was the last one for President Whitworth because he goes home but it was good. Then I went on exchanges with Elder Blackner (Elder Ashton's cousin) and we made some calls and had a good night.
Friday was a really good day too! We have a big devotional every friday with the whole mission and I was able to direct it so I was again nervous but Heavenly Father helped me out and we got to talk about a recent talk from Elder Gong called "This is the time of Mexico" and it was super awesome. Then we had a lesson with a mom who invited her daughter and kids and we ended up teaching all of them the Restoration and they are really interested and it is a family of 4 and they all came to church yesterday so it was one of the cool miracles we had because we don't get too much time in our area so the Lord blesses us so much.
Saturday was also a good day with a lot of lessons and hard work. We visited a referral we got and he had talked with missionaries before but was super willing so we set up a baptism for Carlos in June so we are excited to work with him and the miracle is a member lives right next door! Also I wanted to share a cool miracle we had about how Heavenly Father put an angel in our path to help us out.
So we were really rushed trying to find a taxi and finally one stopped to pick us up so we were running and I bumped into a guy and said sorry but continued to run, well this guy starts to yell at us but we just ignore him because people always do that. We jumped in the taxi and started going but looked back and this guy got on his motorcycle and started following us so you can imagine I was feeling pretty nervous with him chasing us but he stopped the taxi and handed over our keys. When we bumped into each other the keys fell from my belt loop so he was kind enough to chase us down. Honestly it was a huge miracle and there is no doubt Heavenly Father sent us him to help us out because these were the keys to the apartment, the office, and the church so I am grateful heavenly Father takes care of us!
It was a really good week and to close I will share something I liked in my study this week and it is in Alma 24:27 and the last part says, "thus we see that the Lord worketh in many ways to the salvation of his people." It gives me the hope that always there are people waiting to have this message of hope in their lives and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to share it with so many people.
