Reply: Thanks for the updates mom on how the week went! Even if it was pretty normal! Glad we didn't get slaughtered by Snake but you know you're in trouble when Jack is playing quarterback and I can't believe Thomas gets hurt a lot but maybe by next year they will figure it out but I'm glad Tyson is tearing it up but how is the basketball season look for them? Thats so exciting about your call too mom! So you're the first counselor but who's the second? Thats awesome and you'll do absolutely great!
Thanks for the updates on the family and that's so exciting to hear about Dallin! Good for him and make sure to send me some pictures. Also general conference was so great! I noticed that too mom that a lot of people mentioned that quote and how having joy is a choice each of us and and should make as long as we are focused on Jesus Christ! Again thanks for the updates and I love you all so so much!
MY WEEK
Alright I guess I'll start by telling you about a crazy week I've had but it has been good! So Tuesday we met with my main man Irwing and taught him about a lot of commandments and his desire to be baptized and change his life blew me away. It was a really good lesson with him and he is a miracle from Heavenly Father.
The rest of the week was really good just going around getting people hyped about general conference! Thursday was a good day too! So we had a big meeting called MLC and had a really good discussion about how the mission can achieve the Lord's vision and it got me really excited and on a spiritual high. Then we went over to Irwings again and had a good lesson! Then get this, we then had his mom (Patricia) follow us to the temple and she did baptisms for the dead and loved it so it was a blessing! Then that night we had a lesson which caused us to be late to a meeting and the Sisters were not too happy and think about the "sisters" at school mom... yikes but everything worked out and we had a meeting Friday and all is well.
Friday and Saturday were pretty hectic days but really good for us. Friday we had Irwing's baptismal interview and it was interesting. So we got there and he had some trouble in the past with some things and we had to call the big guns (President) and had to translate between the two but it was amazing to see Irwing understand what he did was wrong and completely want to change his life for the better. (probably leave the part out about Irwing's past transgression out for the weekly)
Sooo Saturday morning came around and we went to Irwing's house and watched the first session then went to the church and had Irwing's baptism and it was so special. He asked me to baptize him so it was really cool and a special blessing for me. Then after that we watched conference and went out to a members house and had a carne asada and it was a really fun day. Sunday was the same and we went to Ramon and Gloria's in the morning and watched then had a big breakfast afterwords which was so fun!
All in all it was a really good week. I want to close by saying how grateful I am to have LIVING prophets and apostles on the earth and to hear the voice of the Lord. I loved President Nelson's talk Sunday morning about having our foundations built solid, prepared for anything that comes our way. It made me realize that the Prophet is there to guide us but not drag us along the path. We each to need build our own PERSONAL foundation centered on Jesus Christ and when we do the promise is that we will no fall.
